Emily Roses real name was Anneliese Michel. She was born a normal child on the 21st September 1952, she  was a very religious girl who prayed daily. However in 1968 her life changed forever. She began shaking uncontrollably. A neurologist at the Psychiatric Clinic Wurzburg diagnosed her with "Grand Mal" epilepsy. The epileptic fits and depression that followed was so strong Anne was admitted for treatment at hospital .

After the attacks began Anne began hearing voices saying "Stew in hell" and also began seeing demons in her daily praying. By this time it was 1970 and many people was enjoying freedom whereas Emily Rose was battling her demons. Anne also had begun to believe that she was possesed. When she mentioned them to her doctor they seemed unable to help, after this she lost all hope of being cured by medical treatment.

In the summer of 1973 her parents began to vist different pastors,  so  that she could have a religious exorcism. All of thier requests was rejected and told her parents that she should continue with medical treatment, and a bishop could  not approve of  a exorcism and that the person needed many different requirements e.g speaking in a language the person has never learned.

However there was some hope for Anne. In 1973 a exorcism was requested by Ernest Alt. Unfortunatly therequest was turned down, but he said she should lead a more religious lifestyle to find peace in Christ. Sadly  the attacks continued and she became violent towards her family members. The demons did not allow her to eat and she drank her own urine. Anne slept on a stone floor, ate spider and other dead insects. She began destroying  religious symbols and could be heard screaming thoughout the house for hours. She began tearing off her clothes and urinating on the floor.

But after all this Emily Rose finnaly was allowed for a exorcism to be performed. the exorcisim was the Rituale Romanum which was common in the 17th Century.  It was determined that Anneliese must be saved from the possession by several demons, including Lucifer, Judas Iscariot, Nero, Cain, Hitler, and Fleischmann, a disgraced Frankish Priest from the 16th century and other demons. The exorcims took place once or twice a week from September 1975 till July 1976. Some of her demonic attacks were so strong men had to hold her down or smetimes she was chained up. However I believe treated sooner Anneliese would have survived because her life began to turn to normal she was able to do ordainairy things such as going to church.

The demons possesion did not stop, and sometimes the attacks was worse than before. The exorcisim continued always the same. During the rituals Anneliese would be present. She refused all food and her knees ruptured 600 genuflections she peformed in the daily exorcisim. All the exorcisms was recoreded to preserve details.

The last exorcisim rite was on July 1976 when Anneliese was suffering from pneumonia. She was so exhausted she was physically unable to genuflect herself for this her parents helped her. Anneliese told  her mother she was afraid. Very sadly Annliese died the following day (July 1st). The case was investigated.
